Jan 31 - II

As I mentioned earlier, we have been sleep training Colin over the last two weeks. As he has gotten more comfortable falling asleep by himself, he also has taken the liberty to get out of bed when we walk out the door to explore his room and play until he gets sleepy - which is totally fine. So, I have been curious just what he does in there as he winds down before falling asleep. I try to catch what I can on the monitor camera but that only gives me a narrow view. From what I can gather, he takes whatever he can and pushes it under the door frame, so there is a sea of trucks and toys outside of his door. Then he just reads until he crawls up to his pillow and falls asleep. I always go in to check on him when I know he's asleep to make sure he's covered up and that he actually fell asleep in bed. And I've actually found him on a couple occasions sleeping with a book across the top of his face. Here's a pic of how I found him today at nap - fast asleep after what looks like reading through several books.
