What an eventful week we've had! Most of you have probably heard by now, but we ended up at the hospital on Wednesday evening after I started having contractions. We thought it was going to be one of those stories where they check us out and send us home after a couple of hours but it ended up being a four day hospital stay! We definitely were not expecting that!!! It turns out that the contactions I had Wednesday caused me to actually start going into labor so it was a good thing we went to the hospital.
They did a treatment on me to stop the labor which worked (thank goodness!) and then once that was over, they just kept me in for a bit longer to make sure I didn't start contracting again on my own. When nothing happened, they sent me home yesterday but with the order that I stay on strict bed rest the duration of the pregnancy. According the doctor, that means that I have to be in bed other than quick trips to the bathroom or a daily shower - and that's it. The good thing is that I'm already 32 weeks along and the goal is to keep her in until 37 weeks - so by my count that's about 32 days from today. It will definitely be challenging but absolutely worth it. Plus the good news is that if she does come early, she's at the point that she would be just fine, but the earlier she comes - the more time she would have to spend in the hospital. So, every day is mini-milestone worth celebrating.
There are definitely challenges we'll be facing over the next month or so - but overall we are in good shape. We've reshuffled a few things so that Colin is taken care of and Cameron has been a champ taking on a few additional responsibilities. The outpouring of support has been tremendous and overwhelming and we are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. We continue to focus on the positive and find strength in the fact that every thing we do from this point forward is all for the health of our little girl!!

i can't wait to meet her.
Wow. So very scary, but what a great ending to the chaos! I am so happy to hear she and YOU are going to be just fine!
Jess and I are steps away if you all need anything with all confidence. Even if its late; see I'm still up. Night owl Jessica might call me. We are excited for Isabella to have a girlfriend in the cul-de-sac. :-)
So glad to hear the contractions stopped (for now at least :))
Aunt Debra was keeping us posted.
Tell Cameron hey for me. Can't wait to see the Brown #2.
