I have been so slow with my posts - my apologies! And what makes this one even worse is that I don't have any pictures this time either. But I just wanted to share that we went to our 13 week appointment last week and everything is going perfectly fine. They did an ultrasound, so we could see our little bub in all of his/her black and white fuzzy glory. In one of the pictures, you could even count fingers and toes on one of its hands and feet. The tech took a ton of measurements, tried to explain the fuzzy images on the screen and concluded that everything looked good. So, we were happy!
Colin is doing just fine and his vocabulary is growing every day. I think last week he started putting two words together like - dada juice when he wanted Cameron to go get him some juice. He's just progressing like crazy. I guess another milestone if you will as he strives for independence is his constant testing of boundaries. I find myself looking inside for patience quite a bit these days since when you tell him not to do something - he does exactly what you just said not to do and gives you this fire in his eye/half grin look as if he' s saying - what are you going to do about it? What we have to endure for progress! I keep meaning to look up when this terrible two phase ends but honestly - I think I have avoided that research because I am afraid of the answer!!! ; )
