July 7

Sorry it's taken me so long to post, but it's been a busy week. Cameron was able to take some time off work last week and we spent some great family time together. There were trips to the pool, an indoor playnasium, Bookpeople storytime and just general playing around the house. What a treat for everyone! The pool we visited is great for little kids. There's an entire section that doesn't get deeper than a foot deep. Colin just loves it! On Friday, my mom arrived in from Houston for the weekend and Angela dropped by with her two year old daughter Amelie. That was an interesting experience as Colin is not used to sharing his toys or space with anyone, so there were lots of tears during that visit.

Saturday, we played outside in the water and then mom babysat for us while Cameron and I went out downtown to celebrate Tara's birthday (Thanks Mom!). Sunday was off to a slow start but we met Tara's dad and stepmom downtown at a park for a couple of hours. There never seems to be a dull moment around here! Here is a pic from the pool:

Here are a few more pictures from the week. I'll work on getting a couple of videos posted this week.

We also had Colin's Ear, Nose and Throat appointment last week and we left there with mostly good news. They performed a hearing test on him and he scored just below normal. When we met with the doctor, he said that was because he still has some left over fluid in his ears from his previous infection. He said based on Colin's history and hearing test, he was in the grey area for needing ear tubes. So, he suggested we wait six weeks and see how things go. If he gets another infection or still has fluid in his ears in six weeks, he'll definitely need tubes. However, if everything is good for the next six weeks and the fluid dries up on its own, then Colin will be tube free. We'll keep everyone posted.
