Colin is definitely on a mission to understand his world around him. WHY? has suddenly entered into his vocabulary and he uses it at least 50 times a day. Mostly I am happy to answer his questions and even expand on what he's curious about so he learns how the world works. However, I have realized that WHY? only gets you so far sometimes. How do you explain social norms or why certain things are polite to a two year old? I find myself saying "because that's just the way it works" more often than I like.
He is also asking the cutest questions. Here are a few of my favorites so far:
- Do bunnies have tongues?
- What's in a cookie?
- How do dogs go to sleep?
Hannah is still the happiest baby (thank goodness!). She is working on crawling but hasn't mastered it just yet. She is expanding her food repertoire and getting exposed to more and more kinds of food. She has started to babble and is great at saying 'da - da' but has recently added a few other sounds. She is smiley and full of giggles and it doesn't take much to get her to laugh. She's such a joy!! She is sleeping well for the most part although we have had a few nights recently where she hasn't wanted to sleep in her own bed (teething??). So, we're working through that with her. But mostly she is content to play with toys and watch the world go on around her. How blessed we are to have two wonderful kids!!
