We all enjoyed our long weekend for Memorial Day. Saturday and Sunday were pretty low key days and my dad stopped by for a few hours to hang out with us and the kids. Then Monday we decided to head down to San Antonio to Sea World. It was a beautiful day but definitely a little on the warm side. But it was such a wonderful trip. The expression on Colin's face was priceless as he watched dolphins jump out of the water or Shamu do a flip. Cameron and I both commented later that we got a little choked up watching him experience the joy of Sea World. I don't know how to describe it except to say that it brought us such happiness to see him that happy.
One of his favorite places was the water park. They had an area where the water was only about a foot deep. He loved walking around and splashing until we had to pull him out of there unwilling when we noticed his lips were purple. He would have stayed in there all day I think. The one thing we did that he didn't like was the 4-D theater. We wore glasses for the 3-D effect and different things happened in the theater to make you feel like you were on the screen. When they showed a spider coming toward the audience and spitting, they sprayed water everywhere and Colin screamed bloody murder. Needless to say, we left immediately and it looks like we'll be waiting a while before we try that one again. : )
